LUXE
A Hotel-like Digestive Clinic
(2019 Fall) Healthcare
Collaborators: Siyu Shen, Kanji Katayama
Located in Scottsdale, Arizona, the LUXE digestive health clinic integrates a luxurious hotel-like atmosphere to enhance user experience. By focusing on excellent service and a spa-like feel, users are treated as guests rather than patients.
The LUXE aims to achieve a satisfactory level of luxury and personalized experience through a hospitable, healing and human-centered environment. An extensive amount of research was initially performed to get a better understanding of hospital designs and the relationship between patients/employees and their environment. By understanding the human-environment relations that occur in hospitals and the basic accommodations hospitals have for patients, we were able to determine the needs/wants of the patients and staff. Based on the needs/wants of the patients and staff, each space was designed to accommodate necessities and surpass expectations.
