Quality Time
A house designed for my family after 5 years from now

Quality Time is designed for my family, which includes me, my parents, my dog, and my younger brother who is only one year old. 20 years of age difference between siblings is almost like a generation gap, and I am hoping to use this project as a step to close that gap.
I set the time frame to be after 5 years because, by then, my little brother will finally be in primary school, which means he will start to have homework. This house features a collaborative study space and a tearoom, which allow all of my family members to spend time with each other. After all, family time is quality time!

You Are Not Alone
(2017 Fall) Residential
While people in the U.S. call this type of housing "Studio", we call it "Single Apartment" in China. Most of the residents in single apartments are non-local young people looking for opportunities in the city. While already being under huge pressure for jobs, they express the feeling of being more depressed if experiencing tedious interior design and a lack of community life in their apartments. "You Are Not Alone" addresses both problems, thus has two parts —a rooftop community common space, and a sample interior design for one of the rooms in the building.
